MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Colleagues, The Florida Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals focuses on the goals of modeling and promoting high standards of professional practices, recognize members’ successes, and provide professional networks. We also participate in legislative and professional issues, stimulate and promote professional growth, and communicate with a collective voice to support our endeavors. The world of education is changing at a fast rate. The more we exchange ideas, problem solving strategies and information, the better equipped our students will be. Through organizations such as FAEMSP and FASA, we are able to learn with and through our colleagues to reach higher standards in ourselves, our districts and our schools. In the end, all of our dedication reflects in the growth of our children. All of us must continue to join together to strengthen our organization, provide our members with up to date information and continue recruiting new members. We need to encourage more schools to participate in the Little Red Schoolhouse Awards and nominate principals for the National Distinguished Principal’s Award. Our outstanding members need to be honored and recognized. Your leadership is appreciated and I hope I can meet many of you this year. Please feel free to send me suggestions or questions.
